The first step in protecting your online data is to create a strong password, i.e. a password that neither a computer program nor a persistent person can detect within a short period of time.

To assist you in choosing a strong password, we have developed a function with which you can check its security as soon as you create a password.

Tips for creating a strong password:

Use punctuation marks and/or numbers.
Mix upper and lower case letters.
Include similar-looking replacement characters, such as the number zero for the letter 'O', or the symbol '$' for the letter 'S'.
Create a unique acronym.
Include phonetic substitutions, such as 'the 2nd coup' for 'the second coup'.
What to Avoid:
Do not use the password listed as an example of how a password should be chosen.
Do not use a password that contains personal information (name, date of birth, etc.).
Do not use terms or acronyms found in a dictionary.
Do not use keyboard patterns (asdf) or serial digits (1234).
Your password should not consist entyrely of numbers, uppercase letters, or lowercase letters.
Do not use repetitive characters (aa11).
Tips for using your password securely:
Never give your password away (not even to a life partner, roommate, parrots, etc.).
Never write down your password.
Never email your password.
Test and change your current password regularly.
